01 / Overview / Context
A spatial exhibition
“Unpredictable Spaces” is a Web3D virtual exhibition created in collaboration with Kiwook Jang’s (Void Architects) design studio at the Korea National University of Arts.
The studio explored urban issues in Seoul through proposals that challenged established architectural assumptions. ERSATZ translated the students’ submissions into Web3D content and built a main exhibition page linking their work.
Project text and media sit within a lightweight spatial browsing flow, allowing visitors to scan the collection, open individual works, and compare their visual narratives.
02 / Interface / Interaction
Two readings of the city
The main page pairs two spaces with identical geometry: one rendered with sunlight and shadows, and another expressed as glowing wireframes. Visitors can move between these contrasting views.
The first space presents the studio’s urban questions and individual projects. The second reveals their proposed responses and possibilities.
A discussion board connects students with visitors. In the virtual view, AI-generated summaries and extracted keywords provide an overview of the conversations around each submission.
